This book follows the journey of a little Zimbabwean girl named Runako, who has a musical grandmother that plays the mbira. Every time her grandmother plays the mbira, something magical happens, shaping Runako’s ideas on Zimbabwean music, imagination, and song.

This is the very first book launch by Zimbabwean author, Nomsa Mlambo. The event is a fun filled event for parents and children with the following activities:

  • A reading from the author of the book, “A Dancing Night”
  • Colouring activity with images from the book
  • Learn a new song and play the Zimbabwean instrument, the mbira
  • Play fun games including a treasure hunt for musical instruments, duck duck goose and unique Zimbabwean games
  • Physical copies of the book available for purchase
  • Free sticker for the first 20 purchases (available only at the launch)
